Developing the Donald Project
The Donald Project area includes two deposits: Donald and Jackson. We will develop the Donald deposit first. The Jackson deposit is a potential future development opportunity. We have split the Donald deposit into two phases.
Phase 1 covers about 2,748 hectares within Mining Licence 5532.
Phase 2 refers to the potential future development of Retention Licence RL2002 (including its conversion to a Mining Licence and the necessary planning, environmental and heritage assessment and approvals).

Approval and regulation
DPPL expects to begin building Phase 1 of the Donald Project in 2025, having secured important project approvals. DPPL has developed a comprehensive mine Work Plan, as required by government. Time has passed since the Victorian Government approved our initial Environmental Effects Statement (EES). We have since reassessed our project's environmental impact using current methods and standards. Our recent studies shows the project's effects are the same or less than originally predicted. We have also developed our environmental management plans to align with today's laws and industry best practices.
